In late summer 1981, Lauren Donegan and her friends make camp on the shores of Big Bear Lake in the Adirondacks. Unbeknownst to them, Lauren has brought her friends here as bait, intending to lure out the local urban legend Albino Bill—a monstrous mutant mountain man whose origins are shrouded in mystery. As Lauren launches her attack, Bill soon arrives to slaughter the entire group.

Eighteen months later, counselor Molly Culver arrives for the inaugural summer season of Camp Silver Arrow, carrying a hidden mission—she has been tasked by the top-secret organization she works for with hunting down Bill and investigating the dark history of the campgrounds. As mysterious disappearances soon propel the camp into chaos, Molly's desperate warnings are ignored until Bill strikes, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake.
