The Story
This short documentary explores how neo-soul eatery The Lil’ Greenhouse Grill “brought dining back” to historic Overtown, Miami. Seeking to give Overtown’s residents a place to dine out after dark for the first time in a generation, owners Nicole Gates and Karim Bryant tell the story of their struggles and triumphs in giving Overtown its culinary heart and soul again, and how their work is paving the way for the greater revitalization of this storied community.
